Welcome

to the blog of the 2015 Dresden Summer Language program. Over the course of the two months which we spent in Dresden, the 25 students participating in the program posted in both English and German and shared their pictures. While a course requirement, the blog was also an opportunity for the students to get creative and an opportunity to let visitors to the site see what they got up to - we hope that their experiences will inspire you to want to study abroad with us next year, application deadline is February 1, 2016!

On July 6th we visited with the U.S. Consul General Scott Riedmann (right) in Leipzig. Antje Beutekamp (second from right) from Dresden’s Department of European and International Affairs, and a long-time friend of the OSU program, had told Scott about our annual visits to the Vitzthum High School in Dresden to interact with students there under the guidance of English teacher Birgit Scherhag (second from left), and he invited us all to Leipzig.

We'd like to thank Scott and his staff for taking the time to meet with us, and Antje and Birgit for organizing the day. Wir sehen uns nächstes Jahr in Leipzig!
